Cardi B’s fans will need to hold tight a little longer before seeing her back on stage.
The rapper, known for hits like “WAP,” recently welcomed her third child. She was scheduled to headline Atlanta’s One Music Fest this weekend but had to cancel just days before her performance due to a health issue.
Sharing the news on social media, Cardi wrote, “I’m heartbroken to tell you that I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency these past few days, and unfortunately, I won’t be able to perform at ONE Music Fest.”
Although she didn’t go into details about the medical issue, Cardi expressed her disappointment about missing out on connecting with her fans, adding, “Bardi Gang — thank you for understanding, and I promise to come back better and stronger soon. Love y’all.”
In response, One Music Fest shared her post with a message of support, asking fans to keep Cardi in their thoughts and prayers and assuring everyone that they’re working to find a replacement for her at the festival.
Other acts set to headline the two-day festival include Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, Gunna, Jill Scott, Glorilla, Victoria Monét, and Sexy Red.
Recently, Cardi had opened up about a “freak accident” during her third pregnancy, where she suffered a torn ligament in her pelvis after a fall. The injury led to early contractions and left her in severe pain, unable to move for two days as doctors monitored her condition.
Cardi’s fans are surely rooting for her full recovery, eagerly awaiting her return to the stage.
