Lady Gaga Unveils Companion Album ‘Harlequin’ for ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’

Lady Gaga is gearing up to release new music, and she’s serious about it! On Tuesday, she announced her upcoming album, “Harlequin,” which she describes as a companion piece to the film “Joker: Folie à Deux,” where she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix. The album drops on September 27 and will feature 13 tracks, including titles like “Good Morning,” “World on a String,” and “The Joker.”

Gaga has been teasing this announcement with mysterious posts on Instagram, sharing audio clips that hint at new songs. In one cryptic message, she wrote, “I’m ready for my interview,” and in another, “Moondust gets everywhere.”

In “Joker: Folie à Deux,” Gaga takes on the role of Lee Quinzel, better known as Harley Quinn, in the much-anticipated sequel to the original 2019 film. The cast also includes Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Ken Leung.

Gaga is no stranger to success in film music; she won an Oscar for her song “Shallow” from “A Star is Born” and has received multiple nominations for other songs. It’s worth noting that “Harlequin” is different from her upcoming seventh studio album, which she’s been hinting at on social media. The first single from that album is set to be released sometime in October, following her 2020 project, “Chromatica.” Don’t forget, “Joker: Folie à Deux” hits theaters on October 4!
